Bonfire night is celebrated on the 5th of November in the UK. The tradition began in 1605, when Guy Fawkes was arrested after his attempt to blow up the House of Lords (part of the Houses of Parliament). People lit bonfires around to celebrate the fact that King James the 1st had survived the murder attempt.At school students learn the poem "Remember, remember the 5th of November..."
